Airan qualified as a vet in Valencia, his hometown, in 2008. After working in Spain for three years he decided to move to the UK in order to progress his career. In his time in England he has worked for over eight years in both first opinion and emergency small animal clinics. He has developed an interest in Emergency and Critical Care medicine which has led him to gain further qualifications in this field. First he obtained a General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Practice and has now gained the Advanced Practitioner Status awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He enjoys the action and sense of accomplishment that dealing with emergency cases brings him but also likes all aspects of preventive medicine and improving pets’ quality of life. Outside of work Airan enjoys outdoor sports, travelling with a focus in wildlife, any sea-related activity, and also socialising. Airan joined FirstVet in March 2021.
