Carla graduated in 2006 in sunny Lisbon. After initially working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in Portugal and in France, she moved to the UK to dedicate her time exclusively to small animal practice. Since then Carla has been working in referral and first opinion clinics and hospitals in the south of England, providing high standards of pet care. To help provide the best advice to pet owners she continued studying after her degree and completed a certificate in Small Animal Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College, as well as one in Diagnostic Imaging from the University of Liverpool. Carla loves teaching owners how to take care of their pets. A healthy pet is a happy pet! Carla is currently based in London and tries to make the most of her spare time learning new skills such as tailoring and painting, enjoying the diverse cultural offerings of London and hanging out with her little daughter. Carla joined FirstVet in January 2021.
