Elena qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2004 at the faculty of veterinary medicine, University of Padova, Italy. While working in small animal general practice she completed a Masters degree in International Veterinary Co-operation and she started working worldwide with both farm and companion animals. In 2013 she completed a PhD in animal welfare which gave her a more comprehensive vision and approach to veterinary medicine. She enjoys travelling to discover new places and people and, when possible, to help animals in need. Elena adores cats. She has three: Brunilde, Fluke and Yoga. Elena joined FirstVet in June 2020.
