Merel qualified from Utrecht University in 2003 and has been in clinical practice ever since. She is a small animal vet with an interest in internal medicine, cats, small furries and reptiles. Over the last 17 years Merel has worked in both day-time and emergency practice. She enjoys addressing owner’s concerns and working out a suitable treatment plan. Merel’s family has four cats, two tortoises and two African land snails. She enjoys looking after her vegetable garden and has recently taken on playing the electric guitar and Python coding. Merel joined FirstVet in April 2021.
