Hello! Rita graduated from Murdoch University (Perth, Western Australia) in 1996 after fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming a vet. She has always worked in small animal practice and been lucky enough to experience a rewarding and varied life as a vet surgeon around much of Australia and the UK, including emergency based hospitals. Rita is now permanently settled in Buckinghamshire with her family, which includes two dogs and two cats. Her special interests include dermatology, internal medicine and both paediatric and geriatric care. Outside of her professional hours Rita enjoys exercising on her peloton bike, baking with her children and connecting with nature. Her role as a veterinarian is based on a deep love for animals but naturally extends to looking after people too. She looks forward to helping you with any concerns you may have about your precious pets. Rita joined FirstVet in June 2021.
