Stefania graduated from the University of Parma in Italy in 2008. Since Veterinary School she has developed a passion for small animal soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. This led her to complete externships around Europe. Stefania visited the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital at the University of Cambridge and the Teaching Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). These experiences gave her a great opportunity to work alongside an amazing team of specialists that boosted her passion to set a very high standard of care. Stefania worked for several years in Madrid, Spain in a busy practice before moving to the UK. She completed a one-year rotating internship at Davies Veterinary Specialist where she improved her understanding of many medical and surgical conditions. After that, Stefania worked in general practice and in a charity hospital in London. She enjoys all parts of the profession but finds it particularly satisfying being able to explain to the owners what is going on with their pet and helping them to make a plan of action in the different situations. Stefania has great empathy with owners of senior animals, as they are such an important part of the family. It’s an honor to be able to make their life safe and more comfortable. Stefania joined FirstVet in March 2021.
