Dr Ashley Word graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She has employment experience in both emergency medicine and critical care as well as routine practice. As a veterinarian, Dr Ashley strives to provide the utmost care to pets by treating each as a unique individual, requiring tailored health recommendations. Her goal is to work as a team with pet parents through thorough, concise, and easy-to-understand language so the best outcomes can be achievable for their pets. Dr Ashley currently resides on the North Carolina coast. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, and fossil hunting. Dr Ashley also owns a horse and competes in three-day eventing horse trials.
