Dr. Marie Rush Veterinarian


Dr. Marie Rush graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Animal and Dairy Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998. She completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York City, followed by a residency in clinical zoo and wildlife medicine and surgery, with focus training in advanced diagnostics imaging. She has worked at several zoos, served as faculty at two veterinary schools, multiple mixed animal veterinary practices, and has worked with wildlife field conservation and disease research in multiple countries. Dr. Rush has been serving as a full-time member of the staff imaging team for Antech Imaging Services since 2015 working exclusively with zoo, exotics, and wildlife species diagnostic imaging and case consultation for referring veterinary colleagues. She continues to enjoy working as a consulting/relief zoo veterinarian, visiting professor for veterinary school programs, and continues to work in clinical practice with small and exotic animal species medicine and surgery. Dr. Rush joined FirstVet in 2021
