Dianne is a licensed veterinary technician who was raised on a dairy farm. She started out at 15 years of age riding with the local large animal veterinarians and began her small animal experience by volunteering at a small animal clinic before heading to SUNY Delhi for the veterinary science program. She received her license as a veterinary technician with the state in 1986. She also started working part-time for small animal veterinarians around her full time position at the government Farm Service Agency, helping farmers qualify for the various subsidy programs available. At the same time, she also started raising sheep and beef cattle for her children to show at the county fairs and then as a business, supplying various animals to others and meat for the freezer. She also maintained llamas to guard the animals. In 2019 she left the government and took a full-time position at the local animal shelter as the Shelter Manager. From there, she became a Veterinary Practice Manager for the practice that she had been working at part-time. She also maintained a part-time position at a pharmacy as a pharmacy technician for 16 years while working all of her full-time positions. Currently, she is assisting a local cat rescue.
