Dr. Lisa Coder graduated from the University of Missouri in 2013. Since then, she has worked in many different types of clinics, from equine, to mixed animal and the ER. She served a few years with the USDA as a public health veterinarian. In 2021, she opened Home Vet, an alternative and holistic veterinary practice that provided acupuncture, therapeutic laser, and herbal medicine to pets in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Coder believes in compassion, understanding, and above all, love. Currently, she treats cats, dogs, reptiles, and small exotic mammals. She has two children, four cats, a dog, and a gecko - who is undoubtedly the love of her life. She enjoys reading, good coffee, doing karate with her boys, learning new things, mediocre coffee, teaching, writing (both fiction and veterinary-related), tattoos, crazy hairstyles, and even cold, 2-day-old coffee is worth her time.
