FirstVet is looking for Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourists to deliver evenings, weekends and ad-hoc virtual training sessions for new puppy parents

The role

FirstVet are looking for dedicated Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourists who are passionate about helping pets and pet parents. This role is on a part-time, locum basis.

We are running a puppy training programme for one of our insurance partners. The programme is structured around several topics delivered through live sessions to small groups of policy holders who have recently bought a puppy and taken out a policy with our partner. The topics of the sessions have already been agreed, and we currently have a few CCAB running the programme, but we are looking for another enthusiastic behaviourist to help out with evenings, weekends and ad-hoc cover. The time commitment for this would be approx 2-5 hours per week.

Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver online, puppy training sessions live over video to small groups starting from May 2023 (1 hr slots to vary between 5pm, 6pm and 7pm sessions as well as weekend sessions taking place 10am to 2pm -times may be subject to change so flexibility is key!-)

The person we are looking for

We believe that you are a true people-person that wants to help pets and their owners by giving gold standard behavioural advice. You are able to give clear advice based on the information provided by the pet owners. You are comfortable working in a digital environment and have excellent communication skills.

Desired qualifications and skills:

  • 3+ years of clinical experience working with small animals
  • Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB)
  • Confident presenter
  • Confident user of Microsoft Power Point and IT literate
  • Experience hosting webinar-style sessions via Google-Meet, Zoom, Teams an advantage
  • Open to candidates specialising in canine-only behaviour
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Engaging, confident and upbeat presentation style
  • Highly proficient in English on a professional level
