Brandon has been passionate about animals, wildlife and conservation since he was a young boy. Qualifying to be veterinarian was something he dreamed of and set his mind on from the age of about 11. Brandon was born in South Africa and spent his formative years there, including qualifying as a veterinarian. He came over to the UK quite soon after qualifying and spent the next number of years honing his skills as a companion animal and exotic animal veterinarian. Brandon established a two site veterinary clinic in London in 1997 but sold this in order to get back to the basics of enjoying being a vet. Additionally, he went back to University to obtain a masters in aquatic veterinary medicine, which was a fantastic experience. Helping owners to take good care of their animal friends is motivating and rewarding. Brandon has an ongoing keen interest in medicine and how fascinating biology is. He enjoys spending his time off with various outdoor activities such as bodyboarding, distance running, scuba diving, open-water swimming and organising social events with friends. Most importantly lots of cuddles with his rescue dog called Khaya who is just adorable and certainly makes life better just for being there. Brandon joined FirstVet in June 2021.
