Filipe knew that he wanted to become a Veterinary Surgeon from a very young age and followed his dream to become a reality. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Lisbon, with a Master’s degree in 2008. After two years working with all kinds of creatures in a busy first option practice, Filipe ventured to the UK to take on a Junior Clinical Scholarship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Cambridge. Filipe enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and is particularly interested in orthopaedics and internal medicine. He greatly values the relationship with both patients and clients. Filipe has more than 11 years of experience working in emergency and critical care, referral hospitals and first opinion sole charge practice. He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. In his spare time, Filipe enjoys travelling, playing sports and spending time with his pets, family and friends. He joined FirstVet in June 2020.
