Peter has been a vet for over 30 years. He hails from Australia and has worked in a variety of practices. Before moving to the UK, Peter was a tutor in the School of Veterinary Science at The University of Sydney teaching, and demonstrating to veterinary students. He has written two books on pet care He has his own pet YouTube channel and has appeared regularly in Australian media talking or writing about animal care. Peter has lived with a menagerie of animals during his time including rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats of course, and horses. He even had an ant farm… until the day of the great escape. Since moving to the UK, he has worked in a variety of companion animal clinics in London. Peter is also an Official Veterinarian for the Animal and Plant Health Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. In Australia Peter also worked at two charity clinics which provided veterinary services for homeless and other disadvantaged people and their pets. As well as dogs and cats, Peter has worked with and treated a wide variety of animals including tortoises, snakes, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and of course koalas and kangaroos. He is a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London and currently a Trustee of the Society. Outside of veterinary medicine and surgery Peter is an avid sports fan and in particular rugby union, cricket, and athletics.
