Ask the vet - Dog

Why does my dog salivate (drool)?

Vet at FirstVet answers:

Increased salivation can be due to a direct problem with the oral cavity such as dental disease or a foreign body (such as a stick) getting stuck in the mouth. Other causes include inflamed salivary glands, nausea, toxin exposure, neurological disease, etc. Anxious and stressed dogs can also salivate more than usual.
