Since November 2016 the following has been required in order to travel with your dog within the EU:
- A dog EU passport which can only be issued by an Official Veterinarian.
- The dog needs to be microchipped for identification purposes.
- Rabies vaccination. Vaccination against Leptospirosis as well as the use of tick and fly/mosquito prevention is also recommended.
- Worming treatment against tapeworm (Echinococcus multilocularis) is required when travelling to to the UK, Ireland, Malta, Finland and Norway.
