Can the human stomach flu be passed to dogs?

Stomach and intestinal disease is very common in dogs. Dogs have a tendency to gulp down anything they find, including things rather disgusting, which can result in an upset tummy. Just like humans there are also viruses that can cause stomach flu in dogs.

The virus that most commonly gives humans the stomach flu does not affect dogs. There are quite few stomach and intestinal diseases that pass between dogs and humans.
