My cat has developed brown spots on its eye, more speficially on the iris (coloured part of the eye). What may these discolourations be?

Brown spots on the iris are often benign “freckles” or pigmentations. There is however a small chance that they can be the beginning of a tumour developing. It is always best to book an appointment for an examination with a veterinarian.
