Ask the vet - Cat

When is it too cold to let a cat go outside?

Vet at FirstVet answers:

This depends on the type of coat the cat has and if the cat is used to spending time outdoors.

When the temperature starts reaching below 0°C it is best to ensure your cat can come inside. If you are afraid other cats will come into your house, install a cat door that only opens when it scans your cat’s microchip.
