How do you know if a cat has broken its leg?

If a cat has broken its leg it will not be able to weightbear on it and will be in a lot of pain. Sometimes the leg will be angled in an unnatural way.

Most of the time the cat will not let you touch the leg and will hide and want to be left alone. Some cats continue to eat as they usually do while others stop eating. If you suspect your cat has broken its leg you should try to keep it calm and still and seek emergency veterinary care.
