Ask the vet - Rabbit

Why do rabbits shed so much fur?

Vet at FirstVet answers:

Healthy rabbits tend to shed a few times per year in association with the change in seasons. It is important to brush your rabbit to help remove fur during these periods.

Stress and disease can also result in shedding. Often you can find dandruff or bald spots in the affected areas. Contact a veterinarian if this is the case.
