Ask the vet - Rabbit

Can rabbits eat silage?

Vet at FirstVet answers:

Rabbits can eat silage. However, it is impractical since the packages that are available are meant for horses – the silage will go off before the rabbit has time to finish it.

If you want to introduce silage into your rabbit’s diet it is important to do so slowly and with small amounts so that the digestive tract can get used to the change. If you solely own a rabbit or two and do not own a horse it is best to feed your rabbits hay.
