Ask the vet - Rabbit
What is the dirty/stained area on the sides of my rabbit’s genitalia?
Vet at FirstVet answers:
Both male and female rabbits have small pockets on the sides of their genitalia. These pockets contain glands that produce a reddish-brown discharge. The discharge can look like dried blood and has a distinct smell. It is completely normal for it to be present. If you think the discharge smells bad or if there is a lot of discharge present you can remove it by gently massaging it away with baby oil.
