Ask the vet - Rabbit

Should I spay my female rabbit?

Vet at FirstVet answers:

There are several pros with neutering your doe. To begin with it completely eliminates the risk of her developing uterine cancer which otherwise affects the majority of all middle aged female rabbits. The earlier you spay your doe, the less likely she will be to mark her territory by spraying urine. She will also be less likely to show territorial aggression.

It is recommended to spay does around 6 months of age. It is possible to spay later but then you reduce the likelihood of eliminating territorial marking/aggression.
